The prizes

12 cans of Toast Ale

Food production is the biggest contributor to climate change and biodiversity loss – it’s responsible for 80% of deforestation, 70% of freshwater use and approximately 25% of greenhouse gas emissions. But one third of all food is wasted.  Toast Ale was set up to change that.

They brew planet-saving beer with surplus fresh bread, and all profits go to charities fixing the food system.

A recycled cashmere jumper from Ally Bee

Ally Bee is dedicated to making beautiful knitwear in yarns procured from a road less travelled in the fashion world. Since 2014 Ally Bee has been making knitwear for those curious about the origins of their apparel & seeking out sustainable, made-to-last pieces for their wardrobe.

How the recycled yarn is produced

Re.Verso yarn is a soft recycled cashmere yarn with all the loft and dynamism of virgin cashmere and so is perfect for premium knitwear and accessory manufacture. The Italian spinning company Filpucci recovers cashmere off-cuts from the textile industry, sorts them into colour shades and re-spins the shredded fibres without the need for additional heavy dyes. This saves on the disposal of premium yarn waste, and also achieves environmental savings on other resources of water and energy in the spin of the yarn. Ally Bee has knitted the 2020 knitwear collection in these ingenious recycled yarns using a specialist cashmere knit manufacturer in Hawick, Scotland.

A Chai-lent night bundle from UpCircle

UpCircle transform ingredients that would otherwise be discarded into natural, organic beauty products – better for you, better for the world!

A sustainable notebook from Kapdaa

A traditionally hand-bound, ethical and definitely sustainable notebook. Cover made with elegant fabric offcuts by Lena Hoschek.

Each notebook produced by Kapdaa is made with offcuts. Offcuts are bits of material leftover after designers have cut patterns for their collections. Because of their size and shape, offcuts are often dumped into landfills, so Kapdaa has made it their mission to save this unwanted fabric and use it to produce beautiful products.

Socks, a darning egg and book from Socko

At the heart of Socko is a fundamentally great pair of socks. Designed, sourced and produced in the UK, Socko know all of their producers personally and ensure they are paid properly for their skills. They craft yard this is no longer serving a purpose into socks that can be worn for years.

Set of 4 coasters from That's Caffeine

Handmade in London, That’s Caffeine is a unique material made from recycled coffee grounds.
