Fabrications is Hackney’s beloved sustainable textile studio and shop, founded by designer-maker Barley Massey. For over 25 years, Fabrications has been community focussed, championing upcycling, mending, and “Cradle to Cradle” principles.
Located on Broadway Market, we are open: Wednesday – Sunday, 11am – 5:30pm.
Downstairs in our “Re-Imaginerium” studio space we host workshops and events all year around, passing on hand & machine sewing, repair, creative reuse and other textile based skills and inspiration, See What’s On via Fabrications website Calendar.
Alongside Barley’s one-off pieces which are on all made in house and on sale at Fabrications, she also offers a “Remember Me” service, creating unique upcycled pieces from sentimental textiles.
