Palava is an independent clothing brand making joyful, long-lasting garments rooted in craft, colour, and a belief that clothing should be made better, not faster. Founded by Bryony Richardson, Palava grew from a family history in UK textiles and a deep respect for skilled making, vintage quality, and natural materials.
We design clothes to be worn and loved for years, not seasons. Our collections are built around hand-drawn prints, practical details like proper pockets, and shapes that work for real life. We do not chase trends. Instead, we focus on timeless design, durability, and individuality, helping women feel visible, confident, and themselves.
Palava is committed to small-scale, ethical production. Wherever possible, we manufacture in the UK. When production happens overseas, such as organic cotton knitwear in Turkey, we prioritise long-term relationships, transparency, and natural fibres. Every product has a clear, traceable supply chain.
Sustainability for us is about progress, not perfection. We believe people will always buy clothes, so the responsibility lies in changing how they are made, valued, and used. Palava makes less, but makes it better, continually experimenting with ways to reduce waste, extend garment life, and share learning openly with our community.
Beyond clothing, Palava is building the Hatchery, a space for innovation, learning, and small-scale manufacturing that brings people into the process of making. At our core, we are a small business with a big heart, using creativity, honesty, and collaboration to make things better, one garment at a time.
