I am a textiles designer, maker and teacher working with Japanese textiles crafts based in London. I work with Shibori resist dyeing , Katazome stencilling, indigo dyeing, Sashiko and Kogin embroidery and Boro inspired mending.

A large part of my practice is sharing my skills and knowledge of Japanese textiles crafts through teaching Indigo dyeing, Shibori resist, Katagami stencilling, Sashiko and Kogin embroidery and Boro inspired mending.

I am passionate about Japanese textiles crafts and I love to inspire students to take up the skills that I teach.

My Sashiko embroidery and Boro inspired mending work was featured on the Great British Sewing Bee semi-final in 2022

I teach at my at my studio in Muswell Hiill and at venues around London and further afield, including West Dean College near Chichester.

I visit Japan every year to take students to study with my sensei over there, to travel, extend my craft skills and to buy vintage fabrics to use in my work.
