Stitch-School

Stitch-School was founded by Melanie Bowles 2017 whose aim is to share the benefits of of hand stitching through kits, workshops and community events.

Stitch-School fosters the skill of hand embroidery for repair, embellishment, community activities and shared purpose. Celebrating cultural and traditional knowledge which people can share through the large community events which are intercultural and intergenerational. Creating community narratives of the place and time through stitching. These skills are life skills for repair, understanding how are garments are made, embellishment, gifting or meditation and study.
