The Mend’s mission is to inspire and equip DIYers to extend the life of their clothing, through our circular fashion hub which collates best-in-class upcycling, tailoring and customisation projects with supporting tutorials.
The Mend is an early stage startup, building a digital visual discovery database and e-learning platform for circular fashion clothing skills. It is a hub of tried-and-tested resources that supports users to find creative ways of extending the lifespan of their clothing.
The Mend has three core offerings:
1) Easy to follow e-learning tutorials in circular fashion skills (e.g. upcycling, repair, tailoring and customisation).
2) A database of circular fashion projects for inspiration. This database will be comprised of successfully completed projects from The Mend users and contributions from specialist circular fashion practitioners.
3) A network of conscious fashion creators devoted to extending the lifespan of clothing that they already own instead of buying new. The Mend will curate and connect people to local in-person workshops, repair cafes and sewing courses for those who want to grow their expertise further.
